The Challenge

Community-focused sports company NYC Social hosts year-round co-ed leagues for players of all experience levels, organizing tournaments and post-game socials that get teams active and pumped up on and off the field. Our game plan: build a strategic blueprint for content execution and activation to help NYC Social increase awareness and membership.

The Work

We defined NYC Social’s voice on their website, social media, and all digital elements. Then we took that voice and became NYC Social’s cheerleading squad, generating ideas and campaigns to target highest-value customers. Our online pep rally included rebranding kickoffs, holiday sales, and special events, as well as new photography to reflect the brand’s energy and sense of humor. We used our social media intelligence to execute partner and sponsorship opportunities with local bars, turning game night after-parties into social slam-dunks.

The Results

Nobody knows stats like a sports fan, right? Here’s our rookie card for this season:

  • 35k Interactions by 20k Unique Users
  • 10.2 Million Impression

The highlight of this activation: in 5 years, NYC Social had attracted 5K Facebook fans. In just one year working with Firebrand, they gained an additional 3.6K fans.
